LENNY THE WONDER DOG

Something is rotten in the town of Newyville. There is an evil afoot and the first sign of trouble is a break-in at the home of eccentric scientist Dr. Island. As police sifts through the evidence of the now-disheveled lab where he has been working on inventing a microchip to instantly train dogs, it is revealed that Dr. Island’s own dog is also missing. But who would do such a thing?

Across town, Zach Dylan is having a bad day. Ridiculed by his classmates and rejected by Becky Green, the brainy girl he has got a crush on, he wanders home, feeling lost and alone. As he crosses the park, he meets a stray dog who looks like he could use a friend himself. In spite of the fact that his mother is allergic to dogs, Zach smuggles the animal into his bedroom. Stretched out for an after school snack and a little television, Zach sits bolt upright when the dog begins to talk.

A talking dog!!! As Zach listens dumbfounded the dog explains that his name is Lenny. An ordinary dog just a short while ago, he is discovering ever-increasing special powers since Dr. Island zapped him with the microchip. As Zach begins to realize that his dog is really talking, Becky shows up and discovers the story of a lifetime. A talking dog! But before she can start scribbling notes, the thugs show up and send the dog, the boy and his friend fleeing.

At the Braino Corporation, the evil Dr. Wagner anxiously awaits the chip. A former colleague of Dr. Island’s, he’s got big plans for the device. Slowly but surely, he has been kidnapping Newyville’s children, intending to implant their brains with microchips and program them to do his liking in his quest to rule the world. Little does he know that with the plotting of Zach, Becky, and Lenny — and a little help from Newyville’s police officer John Wyndham — his vicious plan is about to go seriously awry.
