RACCOON

Rainstorm Entertainment - Flash Version

RACCOON
Written and Directed by Deborah Romare & Vincent Wiley

Kate Raymond has been a newspaper reporter for the Atlanta Journal long enough to know a lousy assignment when she's handed one. But the story of Raccoon tops them all.

In 1956, in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, 12-year-old Romy Asherton witnessed the brutal murder of her father. The mysterious circumstances surrounding the crime are the reason it's held such interest and become almost folklore. The child insisted a talking raccoon she'd befriended years earlier in the woods had committed the crime. And today, fifty years later, the old woman, dying of cancer and residing in an insane asylum, still insists her story is fact -- not myth.

It's up to Kate to find out the real story. Pen, a fellow journalist and eventual love interest, helps her with the investigation of Raccoon and Kate finds herself questioning her own past as well as Romy's dark secret.
