ABOUT US

MISSION
Rainstorm Entertainment, Inc. was launched in 2002 by principals Steven G. Kaplan and Gregg L. Daniel after their successful experience producing the horror/comedy TERROR TRACT, which returned a healthy profit to it's investors and won awards at several film festivals. The film was sold to USA Films/Universal. The company's first production under the Rainstorm banner was THE BIG EMPTY, which starred Jon Favreau, Rachael Leigh Cook, Daryl Hannah, Kelsey Grammer, and Sean Bean. Artisan Entertainment released the film theatrically, Showtime Networks purchased cable rights, and Lions Gate released the film on DVD.
Rainstorm is a privately financed development and production company that partners with other capital sources including equity investors and distributors to develop, produce, and sell original story driven feature films and documentaries. The Company invests in projects with careful consideration of its financial partners by identifying projects with reasonable elements and budgets. We prefer to be brought in to a project at its inception, working with the filmmaker to develop and refine the script, cast the film, and supervise it through production and marketing. We will also consider partnering with filmmakers needing finishing funds or significant equity contributions; in return, the Company and its investors receive fees, equity and/or a share of the backend profits.
